Italian Cuisine

Italian cuisine is extremely diverse and features variations from 20 regions throughout Italy. Fresh ingredients such as garlic, vegetables, olive oil, capers, pasta and cheeses play a major role. Prosciutto de Parma, Mortadella, Parmigiano-Reggiano and balsamic vinegar are some of Italy’s most famous foods.

  • Al dente, often used to describe pasta,literally translates to “to the tooth” which means cooked to the “point” or until just done but still crisp.
