Asian Cuisine
Salty, sweet, hot and sour are the tastes characteristic of Asian cuisine. Staples include rice, vegetables, fruit, soybeans, spices and meats (pork, duck, chicken and fish). Ginger, salt, soy sauce and white pepper add flavor to many dishes. The most fundamental eastern flavor is created by combining sugar with a dark soy sauce.
